    A Mighty Fortress is Our God, Part 2

    Text: Psalm 91

    Main Idea: The Christian should live fearlessly because God has promised to protect them until their work is done.

    1. The Principle: Those who in God will experience His protective care. (v. 1,9).
    2. The Pledge: God's people pledge to put   in the Lord for all times in all things! (v. 2, Jer 17:5-8)
    3. The Protection: The Lord is sovereignly in control over everything that could harm us, and He can & will protect us if it is His       to do so. (v. 3-16)
      • God can protect us because He is       & in control of all things. (Prov 15:3, Ps 139:12, Ex 8:19, Ps 103:20) 
      • God works all things together for good for His people who       &     Him. (v. 14-16, Rom 8:28)
      • God’s promise to protect us is only within the framework of His       plan until our work on earth is done. (i.e. Jesus, Paul, etc., Lk 4:28-30, Jn 7:30, 9:59)
      •  “When the child of God is in His will, then he is immortal until his work is done.” Warren Wiersbe
      • Psalm 91 should encourage us to be       & trusting God more.
