Only Participants & Staff Allowed Inside
Each person who enters our facility increases the chances of COVID-19 transmission, so we are not allowing anyone into our facilities except our program participants and staff at this time. Parents and guardians: PLEASE STAY IN YOUR CAR AT ALL TIMES when dropping off and picking up your child. Drop off and pick up procedures are listed in detail below.
Health Screening Questionnaire
Before a child is allowed inside, we will be asking all parents and guardians answer a list of questions to ensure they do not have any signs of COVID-19. Here is a sample of questions we will be asking:
Do you or your child or any member of your household have any of the following symptoms?
Fever (37.8C 100F Or Higher)
New/Worsening Cough
Shortness of Breath
Sore Throat
Difficulty Swallowing
Loss of Taste or Smell
Nausea/Vomiting, Diarrhea, Abdominal Pain
Runny Nose, or Nasal Congestion (In the absence of underlying reasons such as Seasonal Allergies, Nasal Drip, Etc.)
Unexplained Fatigue/Malaise/Myalgia
Chills
Headache
Conjunctivitis (Pink Eye)
Have you had contact with anyone with acute respiratory illness or who traveled outside of (country) in the last 14 days?
Have you had close contact with someone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19?
If you answered YES to any of these, DO NOT enter. Your child cannot be permitted to enter to ensure the safety of everyone. Contact your health care provider.
Temperature Checks
We will be checking the temperature of each person in the vehicle before the participant is allowed to exit the car and enter the building. We will be using an infrared contactless forehead thermometer.
Wear Masks
We understand that wearing a mask is uncomfortable at best, and that these unpleasant sensory experiences can be intensely magnified in individuals with autism. While all of our staff and volunteers are required to wear masks at all times while working at 3 Bluebirds Farm, we do not require our participants with autism to wear masks. However, if your child tolerates wearing one, we ask that you strongly encourage your child to wear his/her mask while participating in our programs.
Contactless Check-in & Check-Out
We will not be requiring parents/guardians to sign a piece of paper to check their child in or out. Instead, a staff member will be doing so via an iPad while wearing gloves.
Hygiene Station
We will have a hand sanitizing station at the entrance of our building for all staff, participants to use before interacting with one another.

Carpool Guidelines
If meeting at the Farm: Enter Horse Creek Road off of Holland Church Road on the right side of the driveway. Pull up to Stop #1, where you will be greeted by Staff 1. Your temperatures will be taken, the COVID-19 questions will be asked, then you'll be directed to Stop #2 where Staff 2 will help your child out of the car and direct him/her to the waiting staff at the log cabin. You will have time to turn your car around in the parking area and exit down the other side of the driveway -- you might have to drive on the grassy area next to the driveway, that's ok. The next car in line will then be directed to Stop #2.
3:45-4:00pm — Drop-off. Please arrive during this strict window of time when staff will be outside helping children out of their cars and inside. Staff will be going inside promptly at 4pm. If you need to arrive after 4pm, please call 919-602-9883 and let us know that you are outside. Please understand that in doing so, we are taking staff away from the other children inside, which affects our staff to child ratio.
6:00-6:15pm — Pick-Up. Please arrive during this window of time when staff will be outside to help children into their cars. Once again, if you are the first car in line, please pull up to Stop #1, so that each car will have room to pull up, turn around and exit. Please stay in your car -- staff will bring your child to your car.
A carpool map is included below for your convenience.
