• Elementary Internet/Computer Usage Guidelines 2020-2021

  • Students at Calvary will be using the internet for supervised educational experiences in all grade levels in the computer lab or in class. We do regulate the server for protection but the internet is constantly changing. Students are not allowed to surf the net and we teach them how to navigate the internet and websites in a safe way. Students and parents must be aware of the responsibilities for the computer equipment and internet use.

Please read and discuss the following expectations with your child and sign and return this agreement to your child’s teacher.

I will take care of the computer equipment and the computer lab. I will be instructed on how to care for devices and clean up after myself. I will not use personal software or download programs on school computers/devices.

I will not have food or drinks around the computer equipment.

I will show honor to God by respecting others and myself. I will listen to and follow the instructions given by the teacher. Do my actions online treat others kindly? Do my actions represent Christ, my Savior? (Romans 12:9-10)

I will protect my eyes, heart, and mind by only going to the approved sites and report any inappropriate material. God sees everything I do online. He even sees and weighs the intentions of my heart. (Proverbs 15:3, Romans 12:2)

I will be safe while using the internet. I will get permission to create usernames and passwords. I will keep those passwords safe by recording them with my teacher or parent and I will not share my passwords. I will not share private information online (such as my birthday or the school I attend).
