Thank you for your interest in wanting to become a driver for Dine in Delivery Bedford. We facilitate food delivery from restaurants to customers in the northern Toledo, Sylvania, and Point Place location of Ohio, as well as a driving area encompassing Temperance to Monroe, Michigan.
Hours of Operation
We currently operate Monday - Saturday 10am - 9pm and Sunday 10am - 8pm. We offer 2 different shifts, the day shift is 10am - 5p, the night shift is 4:30pm - 9pm. So there is a possibility of 14 shifts per week, we ask that you select at least 3 shifts per week. We also utilize on-call shifts in the event we require more drivers based on order volume. You are able to pick up as many shifts as you want, as long as they are available. We release the shifts for picking on Friday mornings for the following week. Some drivers choose to work both day & night shift on the same day, and that is allowed.
Smartphones
We utilize a few different smartphone apps in the process of delivering. They are free apps, with no charge to the driver to use them. You will need to multitask between apps to be able to do your job. These apps are used to text dispatch, receive delivery orders, a messaging app to communicate with the team, you can use whatever GPS app you prefer for getting navigation to the customer and restaurants. Excellent and constant communication with dispatch is a must when you are on a shift and delivering.
Pay
Drivers are independent contractors and will receive a 1099-NEC form at the end of the year for their tax purposes. It is the responsibility of the driver to keep track of their mileage for tax purposes.
