  • This form must be completed in full. This is not a transcript request form. 

    This is a request for a letter attesting to factual information contained in a specific student record. Information contained in student records is confidential and is issued only at the written and signed request of the student. All documents created by the institution or received by the institution on behalf of the student become the property of Nelson University. Except for the Nelson University student transcript, Nelson University does not release copies of those documents to any other entity or the student.

    Students seeking records originating from other institutions or entities will need to submit requests directly to those entities. This includes vaccination records, accommodation records, and other documents sent to Nelson University from other entities. All mailed letters are sent via regular postal service.

    If you are not a current student or have not attended Nelson University within the last year, you must provide a copy of your current driver's license or another form of identification with a signature. 

    Individuals or entities seeking information regarding a student should have the student contact the Registrar's Office directly to request the information. This form is not intended to substitute for a transcript request, degree verification, or enrollment verification that could be obtained through the appropriate venues. 

    Nelson University reserves the right to deny releasing information that does not comply with regulatory or institutional policy or normal standards of practice. 

    Enrollment Verifications:  Nelson University cannot complete enrollment verifications until the second week of the enrollment period after the student has approved their bill. Nelson University cannot complete an enrollment verification for students only taking B Session course until after the B Session begins. Students seeking enrollment verifications should go through their MyNelson portal first. 

    Degree Verifications:  Nelson University uses Clearinghouse to complete degree verifications. Please have your employer or background investigator go through the National Student Clearinghouse site to request a verification. Students wanting degree verifications may order a transcript. 

    Former WBC Students and pre-2016 AIC Students: Unfortunately, Nelson University is unable to provide enrollment or degree verifications for former Western Bible College students or American Indian College students who were enrolled prior to Spring 2016. However, you may order an official transcript by contacting the Registrar's Office and requesting a transcript request form.

  • Write a brief description of the letter you need and for what purpose. The description should include the specific details from your record that need to be included even if you have already spoken to someone at the institution. Incomplete requests will not be processed. 

    Please Note: We can only include factual information reflected in your academic record. Questions about discipline and conduct are handled by the Vice President of Student Development's Office. Students requesting a Nelson University transcript must do so through www.getmytranscript.com.

      To process this form, please answer the following questions. If there are issues with the form, please note the issues in the Comments area and select Yes to Send Response to Requester with Issue.

      Degree Verifications - Employers can obtain degree verifications through Clearinghouse: Employer Degree Verification. Students may request an official transcript at https://getmytranscript.com or obtain an unofficial one through the MyNelson portal.

      Pre-2016 AIC students and WBC students may not obtain a degree or enrollment verification. Nelson University can only send transcripts. 

      Enrollment Verifications - Students may obtain enrollment verifications through the MyNelson portal under Admin>Academic Records. 

      Nelson University does not release copies of records from other entities (e.g., universities, schools, exam companies, medical facilities, behavioral health facilities, references, etc.). Students will need to contact those entities for that information.

      Once the requester has responded with complete information, or if we determine that we cannot release the information, select Issue Resolved. 

      If we can provide the information requested and the requester has resolved the issues, upload the completed letter or document to the Requested Letter or Document area, enter the date the letter/document was completed, select Yes to Send the Document/Letter to the Requester, enter your initials, and click Submit.
