  • Positive Tomorrows- Host Rotarian - Susan Agel - Tour Limit 20

    Positive Tomorrows students will do a short presentation for Rotarians during lunch, then we will adjourn for a tour of classrooms, our family support offices, and other areas. The brand-new building has received national and international attention for its groundbreaking design towards meeting the unique needs of homeless children.

    Location & Parking: Parking available in front of the builidng. Positive Tomorrows’ address is 901 N. Villa. It’s a bit unusual, however, because our building does not front Villa. You may turn west into the drive just south of the ReMerge building and you will see our building on the right behind ReMerge. Or you can enter the campus from the NorthCare entrance on General Pershing and we’re to the east of their main building. If you have any trouble finding us, please call the main desk at 405-556-5082 and someone will help you. You’ll need to ring the doorbell and identify yourself for admittance.

  • Goodwill Industries -  Host Rotarian- Jim Priest Tour Limit 25 

    During lunch we will have testimonials from people whose lives have been transformed by the power of work through Goodwill, as well as a brief history of Goodwill which started in 1936 in Oklahoma City. After lunch we will tour the Career Pathway Institute, the warehouse, and the Outlet store to view the operational/mission side of Goodwill and provide an overview of our work


    Location and Parking: Park on the west side of the building and enter through the south entrance marked Job Connection Center. We're located at the corner of S Blackwelder and West Reno, just west of the Farmer's Market

  • Will Rogers Theater   Host Rotarian- Mike McAuliffe -Tour Limit - 25

    The Will Rogers Comedy Tour started in 2019 and features up and coming comedians. The 2020-21 tour includes Santa Monica, OKC, Tulsa and Washington D.C. Carl Milam, relative of Will Rogers, will also talk about the theater and his restaurants Musashi's, Sushi Neko, The Lobby Bar and The Tasting Room. One of the Comedy Club's comics will perform!

  • Pivot, Inc. - Host Rotarian - Sarah Roberts -Tour Limit: 25

    You will watch a video that highlights our clients. Followed by a look at our on site pantries, teaching kitchen, community intervention center, new drop in center and night sheltering, our youth emergency shelter and our tiny home community. There is some outside walking but not far.  

    Location & Parking: our parking lot is fairly large, parking would be spread out but shouldn't be a problem. Pivot is located on 50th street between Santa Fe and Lincoln

  • Sunbeam Family Services- Host Rotarian - Marnie Taylor- Tour Limit: 10

     

    You will watch an inspirational video that share the story of one of Educare OKC’s first graduates and where he is today. You will also see our mission in action by touring this high-quality educational facility for infants and toddlers. Additionally, you will learn about Sunbeam’s childcare partnerships and wraparound services for families who live in the most at-risk zip codes in Oklahoma City. As part of the tour, you will also learn how you can join Sunbeam in empowering families and preparing infants and toddlers for success in school and life.

  • Girl Scouts Camp Trivera - Host Rotarian: Shannon Evers Tour Limit: 30

    Girl Scouts Western Oklahoma is excited to announce that construction is almost complete at Camp Trivera – an urban STEM focused camp – in the Adventure District and we can't wait to invite you in! From learning about aerodynamics zip-lining across the lake to the OKC Zoo to testing their geological knowledge while climbing the indoor rock wall, these unique features, and many more STEM “surprises” that can be found across the property, are sure to have an impact on girls and inspire the next generation of leaders. While we won't be zip-lining on our Rotary tour, you will have a sneak peak before we open. We will start our tour with lunch, then split into small groups to maintain social distancing. The tour is accessible and easy walking, but please wear closed toed shoes and a mask.
     
    Location and Parking: Parking lot in front of building  Go east on Remington Place off of North Martin Luther King Blvd (as if you were going to the OKC Zoo) Stay on Remington Place, past the zoo and past the lake. Immediately after driving over the lake take a right on NE Grand Blvd and then the next immediate right. It comes quick! Follow the road to the top of the hill. You will come to a fork in the road and you take the left side of the fork to enter Camp Trivera (you will see the large sign/gate on your left when entering). You will see the main building to your right and we will meet in the large Gathering Hall. Please remember that masks and social distancing will be required at all times. The address for Camp Trivera is 2508 NE 50th , Oklahoma City, OK 73111. Since this is a new property, Google maps doesn’t always direct guests properly. Look for the pin if you get lost.   • Oklahoma Mother's Milk Bank - Host Rotarian Heidi Russell Tour Limit 50 -VIRTUAL 

    Rotarians will learn about the OK Mother's Milk Bank, OK Breastfeeding Resource Center and Coalition of OK Breastfeeding Advocates. The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) recommends infants should be fed breast milk exclusively for the first 6 months after birth. Rotarians will tour the Milk Bank, which is one of only 23 milk banks in the United States accredited by the Human Milk Banking Association of North America, and will learn about how babies in hospital neonatal units across Oklahoma are receiving lifesaving human milk.

  • Ronald McDonald House at The Children's Hospital- Host Susan Adams Tour Limit - 50 VIRTUAL

    Join us for a virtual tour of the newly completed 22,000 sf, 26 bedroom expansion of the Ronald McDonald House at The Children's Hospital which is scheduled to open in August 2020. RMHC is the largest NGO in the world providing healthcare accommodations and has a 40 year history of enabling family centered care. We will share impact research and program outcomes followed by Q&A via chat.

  • Delaware Resource Group - Host Phil Busey - Tour Limit 50
    VIRTUAL 

    DRG will provide a virtual presentation to let Rotarians know the history of DRG, the programs we support, and the importance of the aerospace industry in Oklahoma. We will put together a slide show tour of our building and Phil will be happy to have a Q & A section.
