I, First Name Last Name want to promote the purpose of this organization:● Establish and nurture a network of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender,queer, sexual/gender diverse, and allied legal professionals who supportLGBTQ+ equality and the other goals of the organization;● Maintain and publicize a directory of legal professionals who are members of the organization;● Provide and promote positive role models in an atmosphere ofequality and diversity for the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer,sexual/gender diverse communities;● Provide opportunities for legal professionals in our communities to meet and network;● Encourage fellowship and support and promote the professionaladvancement of members of our communities;● Research, discuss and exchange information on and promote sensitivity to legal issues that affect the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, sexual/gender diverse communities;● Promote and stimulate the practice and professional expertise oflesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, sexual/gender diverse legalprofessionals;● Promote legislative, administrative and judicial reforms for the purposeof eliminating discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation, genderidentity, gender expression, and other intersectional issues that affect the LGBTQ+ community;● Develop liaison with other legal and legal-related organizations, including but not limited to being an affiliate of the National LGBT Bar Association;● Represent lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and sexual/gender diverse clients in cases of particular public interest that advance the rights of LGBTQ+ North Carolinians.● Establish a fund to allow PMBA to sponsor one or more North Carolinian law student(s) to attend Lavender Law by paying the registration fee and/or National LGBT Bar Membership dues, travel , and hotel/housing accommodations. Selection of law students shall be done by the Lavender Law Fund Committee as established in Article VI.
