  • Moe's Pop-Up FUNDRAISER Shop Quick Overview

    Moe's Southwest Grill Lexington has gotten the Fundraiser Pop Up Shop down to a science - MOE'S will sell the Taco Kits at $41.50 each. Moe's collects the buyer's information and the money. Moe's will then drive to YOUR location at the date/time desired and deliver the Meal Kits in a social-distancing-friendly manner to the customers who can remain in their cars.   

    Essentially the only duty your group has is to SPREAD THE WORD. We have had several groups tell us this was the easiest fundraiser they have EVER pulled off, and have signed up for repeat events.

    As of Fall 2023, in the over two hundred fundraisers executed, the average check back has been around $400 - this includes the money back to the groups AND the extra donation Moe's collects for the groups. FOUR GROUPS even got OVER $1500 with their event, and eleven checks over $1000 have been sent.


    Please note:  We hope to be done with price increases, but it's possible we will have a price increase for taco kits in the future.  Once your group begins selling taco kits WE WILL NOT RAISE YOUR GROUP'S PRICES, but some groups book events months in advance.  In the event of a price increase, we may have to have your event at the new taco kit price - BUT YOUR GROUP WILL GET NO LESS MONEY.  In fact, with the last taco kit price increase, we gave the fundraising groups an extra dollar per kit back.

    The Moe's Family Taco Kit comes with your choice of two meats (or extra veggie options) along with: Rice, Beans, Tortilla Shells, Cheese, Lettuce, Pico, and also Chips & salsa PLUS our World-Famous Queso. This meal kit feeds 4-6 people.
  • POP-UP INFORMATION


    Pop-ups can typically be hosted Tuesday-Friday with pick-up times normally beginning between 5 PM and 6 PM (There have been lunch time events). Scheduling varies by location and is subject to availability. Pick-up times are 15-minute timeslots (ex: a request for a 5:30 PM pick-up time would allow pick-up from 5:30-5:45 PM).  There have been VERY successful pop-up on weekends after a game/tournament/match/meeting, so do not be afraid to ask for that

    For smaller events under 20 kits we ask that the proposed location for Taco Kits to be picked up must be within 10 miles of a Moe's Southwest Grill Lexington KY location and are determined by the organization.  Pick-up locations can be a parking lot, community center, or even someone's driveway/cul-de-sac - as long as we have enough room for up to two SUVs and a folding table, we're good to go!

    For events over 35 kits we WILL drive to the counties around Fayette County away at NO CHARGE TO THE GROUP.  If you have a large group further than this please reach out to us at  FUNDRAISING @ GRYPHMORE.COM

    TIPS:

    • Possibly time the pick-up to be during an open house for your group, or immediately after a meeting, game, or service time.

    • One of our largest events was booked THREE DAYS before the event time.  It is more important to push the event 24-48 hours before the event, ESPECIALLY at dinner time the night before your event.  Many people plan their meals a day ahead (it seems).  Many groups double or triple their count from the morning of the day beforehand through when the orderin site is dissabled (we stop taking orders at midnight day before/say of event). 

    • We can provide your group with information and images to help spread the word.

    • A request for a specific time/date IS NOT A GUARANTEE of that availability.  We ususally respond VERY QUICKLY

    • We can tweak location/time/date after submitting if necessary.

    • PLEASE NOTE: If your event does NOT reach 20 purchases at your destination site - WE WILL ASK YOU TO SEND A REPRESENTATIVE to retrieve the kits (from the Moe's on Harrodsburg Road).  Because we are donating a portion of the proceeds, we had to insert a cut-off size to make it worthwhile for our fundraising team and our labor costs

  • Please note - we have started offering AN ADDITIONAL PICKUP - MAINLY being used for pick-ups at schools, aimed at the teachers to take home with them (so they don't have to drive home then come back) - Most High and Elem Fayette County Schools are doing 3:15 or 3:30, the Middle schools let out later so they normally do +/- 4:15

    We have NO PROBLEM doing this for teachers - one school had OVER 25 TEACHERS ORDER AT THE EARLY BIRD 3:45 PICKUP.  That can help ANY GROUP out.  BUT PLEASE NOTE it's very tough for us to come out around 4:00 and turn around and load up for the large delivery at 5:30 or 6:00.  We can do the early bird pick up BUT WE ARE NOW ASKING THAT A VOLUNTEER FROM YOUR GROUP COMES TO THE MOE'S ON HARRODSBURG TO PICK UP THE KITS FOR ONE OF THE TWO TIMES - WE WILL LOAD IT INTO YOUR CAR FOR TRANSPORT.  In most cases it's 5-10 kits.  So feel free to request a "3:30 and 5:30 pickup" but please work to find someone to retrieve one of the kits from the restaurant.  Again - we will only 'deliver' one time of kits - so if you choose two times, realize you will have to send someone to retrieve one of the times (both if the count is below 20 kits for each time).

    We want to re-iterate the delivery minimum (for both the early bird AND normal time deliveries).  We hope everyone has 40 or 100 kits ordered - but there are some groups who have not hit 10 - and we cannot spend the time to drive 20-30 minutes to many of these delivery locations, wait around 30+ minutes to hand out the kits, then drive back, to hand out less than 20 kits.  If there are less than 20 kits please be prepared to retrieve your kits (we have this cut-off time to give us the time to find a driver).  If you are in danger of not hitting this threshold we will be in contact with you.  We also ask that a member of your group stays until the end of the taco kit pass-out.  Our drivers will stay the first fifteen minutes, and most of the time this is sufficient, but in case there are people who are late or there is a longer window, we ask that the final kits be passed out by your team.
