Horse fitness: Horses must be reasonably fit for 3 days of work, though each day will have some ground work to give the horses a break. Riden sessions will be 2-3 hrs max.
Please bring: Something to carry water in on your horse, Suitable raincoat, If you have one, a lunge rope/ long lead rope approx 2-3m, and halter. Approved riding helmet & normal riding apparel, sun cream
Mark has good quality Australian rope halters & 3.5 lead ropes specifically made for him that he brings to clinics. Pre-order to guarantee one. $44/ halters $33/ lead ropes.
Feed: Your horse shouldn’t need super high energy food for the clinic, just something that will sustain them over 4 days – eg grain & hay. Remember there will be times where you sit and watch and your horse gets a break in the yards. To avoid the stress of a new environment and food, we suggest that you introduce your horse on the ration they will be getting here a couple of weeks before the clinic.
New Gear: New gear must be checked for comfort, good fitting and ridden in before the clinic.
