• Application to Adopt or Foster

    Second Hand Dog Rescue
  • Thank you for your interest in adopting one of SHDR's many rescue animals. Please plan on the application taking roughly 15-20 minutes, depending on the length of your answers. It's designed for us to get to know you better, as well as find the best match for you and your household. Also, please have your vet and landlord contact info ready before you start, as well as name and number of 3 personal references, so you don't have to leave the application to get those. Incomplete applications will not be processed.

If you are filling this out for a specific animal in our foster system, we ask that you still fill out all of the answers that are relevant to you. Often, we find that our rescue's transition from foster home to your home can be made easier for everyone involved by knowing small details that may not come up in initial conversations.

All information shared in this application will remain confidential within SHDR, but may be relayed to our foster volunteers during the matching or adoption process. Should you have any questions, please feel free to email us at secondhanddogrescue@gmail.com.
