We accept that our student’s engagement with theological education means that she/he/they will raise issues, ask questions, and articulate concerns. We will provide a climate of learning that is physically and emotionally safe, one where the student can reflect critically and nurture confidence and self-respect. We will make every effort to protect our student from harassment and the violation of his/her/their personal rights.
Resources:
1. We will provide our student with regular theological reflection with a theologically-trained supervisor, and with more informal feedback from staff and members, or support the student making that arrangement.
2. Assist the student in submitting the required learning contract at the start of each semester, and the required student and supervisor evaluations at the end of each semester to Eden’s Contextual Education Office. We will review the student evaluation and and sign the supervisor evaluations each semester with the student, and submit the supervisor evaluation to the Contextual Education Office.
COMMUNITY LEARNING PLACEMENT’S COMMITMENT: We understand the expectations outlined above and commit ourselves to meeting them.
