• CARES Act Non-Profit Food Assistance Grants

  • The City of Manassas is accepting applications from non-profit organizations (including religious institutions) that operate food pantries and/or provide direct distribution of food to Manassas residents impacted by Covid-19 for financial grants to support this work. If your organization wishes to request a grant (contribution) from the City please submit your application to the Assistant City Manager’s Office through this online form.

    Supporting information about your organization that will need to be provided includes: 

    • Name of Organization
    • Name of Contact for the proposal
    • Funding amount requested
    • Current Organizational Budget
    • IRS letter showing tax exempt status of the Organization
    • Brief, one-page letter, describing the services you provide specifically related to food assistance

    Funds will be disbursed on a first-come, first-served basis to support food assistance operations as long as funds are available, but no later than November 30, 2020.  As a condition of receiving the funds, a final report in letter format outlining briefly how the funds were used, and estimating the number of Manassas residents that were helped, will be required no later than December 1, 2020.

  • The City of Manassas is accepting grant applications from non-profit organizations, including religious institutions, that are providing food assistance to any Manassas City residents who are experiencing financial hardship and loss of income as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.  Organizations should be providing direct assistance to the community via a food pantry or other means.  Funding is on a first come, first served basis and will be available until funds run out, but no later than November 30, 2020.  Please fill out the following application including a one to two page summary explaining the need and how your program will address food security in the Manassas community.

    1. A brief summary of the program or services your organization will provide to City residents with these grant funds to address food security in our community.
    2. Current organization budget
    3. IRS letter showing tax exempt status of the organization
    4. Any additional document you wish to provide
