    KIS Seoul Access Request Form

    Purpose of this form is to secure all school personnel and facilities. For safety and security concerns, all visitors must be checked in at the 1st floor upon arrival. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

  • Protocol for Visitors to KIS

    In order to ensure the proper level of security within our schools and to best control and monitor the flow of guests, we have put visitor protocols in place. We appreciate your understanding and support as we ensure the safety of our school.

    • Any visitor who wishes to gain the entry pass to access the school campus must be granted approval by a school administrator.
    • Only visitors who receive permission/ have their access request form approved can access the school building.
    • A school administrator will verify the appointment time and visiting purpose.
    • Upon arrival at  the school campus, all visitors must go through the first floor lobby for a temperature check, state the purpose of their visit and show their access pass to the school personnel on duty.
    • Visitors who are granted access to the school campus will receive a visitor name tag, which is required to be worn while in the school building or on the school premises. Upon the conclusion of the visit, the visitor must return to the first floor lobby to check out.
    • Visitors must remain in approved areas only and stay in close proximity to the person who has sponsored the visit at all times. Visitors must act in a manner appropriate for the safe functioning of the school environment and follow all school safety guidelines and protocols. 
    • Any individual who engages in uncooperative or disruptive behavior will be required to leave the premises.
    • The school reserves the right to deny an individual entry to any school building when there is reason to believe that such an individual's presence would be detrimental to the operation of the school and the learning environment.

    Korea International School is committed to the health, safety, and wellbeing of its students and staff.

    The purpose of this Code of Conduct is to:
    -Keep students safe from harm.
    -Make behavior expectations transparent for all parties.
    -Lower risk of false accusations against adult volunteers, service providers and contractors.

    Adhering to the KIS Code of Conduct and Expectations for Service Partners, Contractors and Volunteers is essential to support a culture of safeguarding. Professional conduct is expected at all times.

    Personal Declaration


    I understand that: When working with children on or off campus, I am aware that I must: NOT be alone one-on-one with any child, physically or virtually NOT enter or use student restrooms or changing rooms (cleaning and maintenance staff will take efforts to avoid servicing these areas when students are present) NOT solicit or take personal contact details from any child NOT connect directly with children on any personal social media NOT take photographs or videos of any students without written permission NOT share photographs or videos of any students on my personal social media NOT touch any child or be in their personal space NOT be on campus grounds without my visitor badge clearly visible NOT drink alcohol or use recreational drugs NOT accept direct or indirect cash or material donations from students or parents. Communication with any student or student group requires the use of professional means, such as a professional email account, school email address or business phone number only.

    If I suspect any incident of child abuse and/or neglect, I will immediately inform the school’s Designated Safeguarding Lead, Deputy or School Director. I should comply fully with any investigation of child abuse or allegations related to this service project or facility. I may be asked to assist with incident and near-miss reporting, if required. The school may annually seek a copy of my current police report/background check. Any action of mine that is inconsistent with this Code of Conduct will be subject to disciplinary action, including but not limited to, loss of volunteer privileges or informing local law enforcement/consulate.
