Thank you for your interest in THE ESPERANZA PROJECT!
This program is organized by OPAC, the Oxnard Performing Arts Center Corporation, and our Artist-in-Residence, Arcelia Martinez.
This is a year-long programming series (September 2020 - May 2021) presented in 3-parts
a short documentary
quarterly salons (a mix of panel discussions, art and community conversation)
monthly 'Sin Verguenza' charlas, where young Latinas can gather, connect, and make art together in a safe, inspiring space.
In each of these segments, we are looking to include and feature artists and their work as it relates to mental health. In the case of the Sin Verguenza series, we're also looking for artists to lead fun art workshops. If your work and medium are a good fit for the series, we will reach out to you to discuss the opportunity further.
