Wake Forest Community Youth Orchestra Instrument Loan Agreement

2024 Jesse L. Suggs, Jr. Chamber Ensemble (Prerequisite: Audition)

This ensemble is for students who have advanced technical skill, refined vibrato, demonstrate mastery shifting in 3rd-6th positions, and fortitude to practice on their own. Students are expected to practice and perform at a high level. At least 2-3 additional hours of practice is expected per week outside of class to master advanced chamber and orchestral literature written by diverse composers. Students will learn in-person on Tuesdays 6:00p.m. - 7:00p.m @ Wake Forest Baptist Church 107 South Ave Wake Forest, NC. 27587. Concert is on the last day of class @ 6:00p.m.

Regular rehearsal attendance is important for your student to build confidence as they learn how to play with their ensemble and prepare for their final concert. We understand life happens, and circumstances may arise that are out of your control, but please make every effort to attend all scheduled rehearsals. Performing in the final concert on December 10th is also expected (more than 2 unexcused absences could prevent your student from participating in the concert). Thank you for your cooperation.

WFCYO's Advanced Chamber Players are for students who have experience playing in advanced string duos, trios, and quartets. Students enrolling in this class must have advanced technical skill, refined vibrato, mastered shifting in 3rd-6th positions, and fortitude to practice on their own. The repertoire will include a mix of pop, contemporary, and classical music which requires advanced technical skill and ability. Students are expected to practice and perform at a high level. At least 2-3 additional hours of practice is expected per week outside of class to master the material. Students will learn in-person on Tuesdays 6:00p.m. - 7:00p.m. Concert is on the last day of class.

This is an optional add on to receive 5 (60 minute) private lessons in addition to group instruction. The teacher and private lessons teacher will decide the time, day, and best format for lessons.
