I agree to the following:
(a) Participation is by volunteer basis.
(b) Poetry Festival Singapore reserves the right for the final selection of poems being presented.
(c) There wil be no compensation due to the participants if the event does not proceed *(e.g. dueto unforseen circumstances or cancellations).
(d) I agree to allow my poem to be used for fund-raising activities for Poetry Festival Singapore; not limited to display of my poems on public-accessible screens, re-printing my poems, or used in collaboration with other artistic collaborations.
(e) The winning poems in each Catharsis competition may be published on the Poetry Festival Singapore's website and separately in a book format. By entering, you agree to allow us to publish your poem alongside your full name, if your poem is shortlisted.
(f) Poetry Festival Singapore reserves the right to change these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice. In the event that any changes are made, the revised terms and conditions shall be forwarded to the participants immediately.
(g) Your work is accepted on the basis that this will be its first publication anywhere in the world and, unless otherwise stated, must not have been previously published (in print, including anthologies, magazines or solo collections; online on any website, including blogs, online magazines or on social media such as Twitter, Facebook or Instagram; broadcast on any regional, national or online TV station or via any radio platform) or have won any other competition.
(h) The copyright of each poem remains with the author. However, authors of the winning poems, by entering a Catharsis poetry competition, grant Poetry Festival Singapore, and any challenge or competition partners, where appropriate, the right to publish and / or broadcast their poem in perpetuity.
(i) You may submit the same Catharsis poetry to other competitions; however, the responsibility remains yours to review their Terms and Conditions beforehand to ensure that there is no conflict regarding publication in any form or medium by Poetry Festival Singapore, the Catharsis series, and any challenge or competition partners.
