DISTANCE/VIRTUAL LEARNERS (and siblings ages 1 to 18) NEXT DAY MEAL REQUEST 2020
Mustang Public School’s Child Nutrition is excited to provide for a limited time only daily curbside FREE meal pick-up at MUSTANG HIGH SCHOOL for our virtual and distance learners. To receive meals, parents/guardians will need to complete an order form daily for each Mustang Public Schools student (and siblings) who would like meals. Orders must be placed daily by 11:00 pm for the following day.
If you haven’t already, please complete a 2020-2021 Free and Reduced-Price Meal Application at www.schoollunchapp.com to help us be able to provide services like this when possible. The free meals will only last as long as USDA has money available to help fund this program, then we will have to go back to charging full price to anyone who hasn’t completed and been approved for free or reduced price meals. The sooner you complete a form for us, the better! Please complete only one application for your family/household and list all children in the household, including all students attending Mustang Public Schools, regardless of whether they are participating in traditional, distance or virtual learning.
HOW TO ORDER:
Place a distance/virtual learner meal request each day by 11:00pm for the following day
You will need a valid student ID number and name in order to pick up any meals.
Siblings (ages 1 to 18 only): We’ll need their names and birthdates on the form
Each child will receive one breakfast and one lunch for the day.
MEAL PICK-UP PROCESS:
Meals can be picked up between 9:30 am – 10:30 am at Mustang High School.
Parents/guardians will need the Mustang student’s name and ID number at meal pick up. An 8-1/2”x11” sign with the child’s first and last name and ID# to hold up would be greatly appreciated to speed up the process!
MEAL COSTS AND PAYMENTS:
Currently meals are FREE to all Mustang students (with valid ID#) and their siblings (ages 1 to 18). This is subject to change quickly, so please read form every day. USDA says they will fund free meals until their funding runs out possibly in December.
If your child is also attending school and will want to purchase al cart items from the cafeteria, these items are not free. There would need to be money in their lunch account to make these purchases. Easist method for this is to add money into their account using the online application of www.myschoolbucks.com.
