Purpose of Our Group: The Children of Mary Home Schoolers was founded to give Catholic home school families from Western New York opportunities to learn, play, and pray together, for parents of Catholic home schoolers to plan spiritual, academic, and social events for the children, and to assist one another in the unique apostolate of Catholic home education.

WE BELIEVE:

1. That the One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church is the one true Church founded by our Lord Jesus Christ as the means of salvation for mankind.

2. That Pope Francis is the Vicar of Christ on earth. We embrace his rightful authority and are in union with him and the Magisterium, i.e., those bishops loyal to him.

3. In particular, we abide by the teachings in the papal encyclicals Humanae Vitae and Familiaris Consortio which condemn the use of artificial contraception, insist upon the protection of life from conception to natural death, uphold and defend the family as the domestic church and original cell of social life, and specify the role of parents as the first and foremost educators of their children.

By signing this application we state that we are a family with at least one parent participating in the sacramental life of the Catholic Church, in good standing with the Magisterium of the Church, and in agreement with the above statement of beliefs.

We also release the Children of Mary Home Schoolers and all persons that represent the Children of Mary Home Schoolers from any liability. We agree to be fully responsible for our own children and ourselves regarding any actions or accidents that occur during any Children of Mary Home Schoolers activities.

*In order to participate in COMHS First Penance or First Communion, you must receive permission from your pastor. To participate in COMHS Confirmation, your parish must be in the Diocese of Buffalo, NY.

After submitting this form, please immediately pay your membership dues of $40 per family through August 15. Dues will be $50 after August 15, 2024. Payment can be made immediately via PayPal or by check. If you are unable to afford dues, please contact the Service Board as soon as possible and let us know.
