What's Your Purpose
"The mystery of human existence lies not in just staying alive, but in finding something to live for." Fyodor Dostoyevsky
What motivates you to get out of bed each day and do your absolute best in life? Can you honestly and thoroughly answer this question? If not, you must begin searching for your purpose once you have some stability in recovery. Doing something that gives you meaning and passion each day is one of the best defenses against relapse. What do you love, what do you want to accomplish? Start exploring these questions in your life and find the reason why you are on this earth. Rest assured there is an inner genius that is waiting to be fulfilled. Once you find this you will have guidance and direction to get through anything in your life. A psychiatrist named Victor Frankl who was a holocaust survivor and wrote many books said, "Those who have a 'why' to live can bear with almost any 'how'."
What did you dream of accomplishing as a child?
If you woke up tomorrow morning and your life was perfect what would that specifically look like?
