The flat cost for an obituary in The Daily Tar Heel is $200. This includes one photo and up to 100 words. This will be published online and in print.

For unlimited photos and words, the cost is $400.

The Daily Tar Heel only accepts obituaries from funeral homes and mortuary services. All obituaries will be reviewed before posting. If you have any questions about this policy, please call 919-962-0520.

DEADLINE INFORMATION

Your obituary will be posted within 24 hours during normal business operations (Monday – Friday). For print editions, please submit by 3 p.m. on Mondays.
