FC Excel Parent Policy: Parents, who are instrumental in a player’s development, both on and off the field. Our Platform will implement a set of boundaries for parents, always intended to maintain a healthy and positive environment for the players. It is important to understand that while these parameters are being established to protect a players development and wellness, they are not intended to override the power and authority a parent must always have, with respect to their child(ren). We integrated these policies into the developmental system to ensure all players are free to enjoy total focus while in training and competition.
FC Excel Training Procedures: Unless solicited by the player or coach, there is to be no communication – verbal and nonverbal – between a parent and player, as well as parent and coach, during training sessions. Parents are encouraged to watch training from an isolated section of the training facilities, but are not to influence, impact, or interrupt the session in any way, barring an emergency or supportive activity, such as delivering a water bottle to the player at a break. In the event a coach feels that a parent has overstepped his or her bounds in this regard, that coach will report the incident to an Academy Director, who will communicate directly with the parent. If deemed necessary, the parent may be asked to not attend training sessions in the future, or at minimum, from a location that is completely out of sight from the players and staff.
FC Excel Tournament / Event / League Game Procedures: There is NO COACHING your child or any other team members during a game and or event. This means when your child is on the field you are not permitted to instruct the player on what he or she must be doing. Parents are not to communicate with the referees and or parents and players of the opposing team for any disagreements and or confrontations of any kind. Players and coaches must be able to fully focus upon performance while at tournaments, events, and league games. While disagreements may arise between parents and coaches regarding on-field matters such as playing time, player positioning, or formations, a tournament and or any league games or scrimmages is the not the appropriate venue for such discussions unless solicited by the player or coach, and approved by the coach, for communication. The request by a player, for such discussion, should not take place at tournament-site fields immediately following a match or league game. The coach must have ample time to reflect on the game and any and all communication with parents, regarding matters of playing time and the like, are to be reserved for follow-up discussions after the tournament/game has concluded and the team has returned home. At that time, it is encouraged that a Player-Parent Coach conference is scheduled promptly to discuss all pending matters. Emails or texts sent during competitive events that pertain to the issues will not be addressed until the week following the tournament/event/game.
***Support encouragment and Cheering are welcomed and asked of the parents.
FC Excel Code of Responsibility:

It is the responsibility of the Parents/Guardians/support team to ensure that all players attend practices and games arriving in a timely manner as well as in proper attire and gear.
