Montana Career Information Systems (MCIS)
MCIS provides comprehensive information for students of all ages. College and university students use CIS to set career and educational goals, connect majors to the world of work, locate scholarships, prepare to transfer to another institution, and find graduate schools. CIS is an important tool for career and educational planning for successful transitions.
Once you log on to MCIS and create your own portfolio, you will always have it and can access it from any location with internet.
Follow the instructions below to create a portfolio and complete the “Career Cluster Inventory” assessment.

Click on “Create a Portfolio”Fill out your information to create a portfolio. Under the “Assessments” tab, please complete the “Career Cluster Inventory (80)”save your “Career Cluster Inventory” and attach to this application.

FERPA Act. Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974, as amended (FERPA), (20 U.S.C. § 1232g; 34 CFR Part 99) is a Federal law that protects the privacy of student education records. The law applies to all schools that receive funds under an applicable program of the U.S. Department of Education. The statute also gives the student the right to inspect his or her education records and to place additional limits on the disclosure of those records. The student acknowledges that the Blackfeet Community College privacy rights policy under FERPA is an “all or nothing” policy. Students may not select certain information or circumstances for non-disclosure. Under this policy the Registrar:
A student may reverse a non-disclosure request by notifying the Registrar’s office of their intention in writing and signed by the student. This authorization will remain in effect until revoked in writing by the student.
