Chapter Officer Responsibilities
I understand my responsibilities as a member of the Chapter Officer Team and I am committed to the position and will diligently strive to execute the responsibilities for my post. I realize the time and commitment that is required to achieve success in this position needs to be a priority for me.
My responsibilities include (but are not limited to) attending all chapter meetings (10) and weekly executive meetings during the year, Summer/Winter Officer Retreat (Date TBD), Leadership Banquets (1), Opening/Closing Contest (1), take part on the Speech Contest and other events as I volunteer.
I understand if something comes up and I cannot attend an event, I will give my agriculture instructors at least 2 weeks notice to adjust. I recognize I will receive a “strike” for every unexcused absence at an event. If I receive two strikes my FFA Advisor, my parents and I will develop an improvement plan. I understand that failure to adequately meet the requirements as an FFA Officer (four strikes) will result in removal from office.
I realize that as an FFA officer, I will be a role model to other students. I will strive to be a good example as I lead others. I know I will be representing my school and my community and I will always do so in a positive way.
I believe academics are important and I will work to maintain at least a 2.0 GPA. If I fall short during a quarter or a semester grading period, I will work with the FFA advisors to bring it up. If my GPA is not up by the next grading period, I will resign my office so I can better focus on my grades.
