  • Furnace Insurance Policy

  • This contract is between Mercer Fuels, hereinafter referred to as “company” and {namecustomer}, hereinafter referred to as “customer”. This contract shall be renewed on an annual basis, based on the original date of the initial contract. This contract becomes effective once signed, when payment is received by the "company" and after the furnace located at {addressWhere} is inspected by a “company’s” authorized technician and passed.

    This contract relates to both warm air furnaces and hot water furnaces.

    Under this agreement, the "customer" is entitled to an annual furnace cleaning, 24-hour emergency service and replacement of parts covered in the below section. Replacement of parts is due to normal use only. Damage caused by Act of God, water, fire, or any other extreme cause is not covered.

    Only the “company’s” service technician is authorized to service and/or repair the furnace under this contract. If an unauthorized technician services and/or repairs the furnace, this contract becomes null and void with no money refunded.

    During the time period of this contract, the “customer” agrees to purchase all fuel oil requirements from the “company”. If this condition is not met, the contract becomes null and void.

    Burner Motor and Fan
    Fuel Gauge
    Oil Line
    Standard Thermostat (1 Only)
    Oil Filter and Cartridge
    Oil Pump
    Ignition Electrodes
    Fan Belt (Blower)
    Combustion Chamber
    Fan Assembly
    Fan Control
    Surface Aquastat/Airstat
    Triple Aquastat
    Draft Regulator
    Relay
    CAD Cell
    Airgate
    Blast Tube and End Cone
    Burner Housing
     

    The “company” holds the right to use either new parts or rebuilt parts to original – at its discretion.

    What parts/causes of issues are not covered:

    Blown Fuses
    Zone Valves and End
    Air Filters
    Out of Oil
    Water Coil
    Water Damage
    Emergency Switch Turned Off
    Electrical Problems
    Water in Tank
    Circulating Pump
    Resetting of Furnace
    Airlocked
    Ductwork and Pipes
    Damper Motor
    Electronic Thermostats
     

    The “company” shall not be responsible for damages caused by circumstances beyond their control, such as parts not being available and labor problems. The “company” will not be responsible for secondary defective parts. If the delivery address is vacant for a period of 48 hours, the “company” shall not be responsible for damages caused by inadequate level of fuel oil, above normal consumption of oil, for any reason beyond the “company’s” control.

     

    The cost of this policy is $225 + tax annually
