The low income spay/neuter program is managed by the Flin Flon/Creighton & Area SPCA with two main objectives:
1.To reduce the number of unwanted and stray animals in our area.
2.To promote responsible pet ownership through a reduced cost spay/neuter program.
We believe that no dog or cat should remain able to reproduce only because the owner cannot afford to pay for the surgery. The program was developed to help individuals or families qualify for participation and those requiring the program the most will receive top priority.
Completed applications must be submitted to the Flin Flon/Creighton & Area SPCA for approval. Successful applicants will be required to pay a reduced spay/neuter fee to the Flin Flon/Creighton & Area SPCA. This program is just for spays and neuters, other procedures or medical requirements, whether performed at the same time or not, are not eligible.
Pet owners/Applicant responsibilities:
- To arrange for the vaccinations of the pet in advance of the application submission. * If vaccines are needed, there will be a charge of $50.00 for 2 vaccines. Payment must be paid at the time of the first vaccine.
- To complete the application and submit it to the Flin Flon/Creighton & Area SPCA.
