Empowered Minds therapist can not prescribe medication and stresses that therapeutic massage is not a substitute for traditional medical diagnosis and treatment.
It is requested that all clients should respect the qualifications and professional knowledge of the massage therapist however, the therapist is not PHD medically trained and so can not provide diagnosis, but they may offer guidance and information pertaining to the clients wellbeing after observing the client’s body or posture.
Empowered-minds and the therapist shall not be found liable for any injury that may develop this would include any injury regardless of any pre-existing conditions and/or not having the client's doctor approve the massage therapy and on any condition not disclosed at or before commencement of the massage session.
Some common side effects of massage which can include but not exclusive to dizziness, nausea, bruising, muscle soreness. It is asked that the client accept these reactions may occur and usually dissipate shortly after the therapeutic treatment.
The massage therapist might not be able to intuitively know when a client would want more or less pressure, each client is unique in their associated pain, sensitivity, and location of aches or tension.
If other areas of pain, ache, tension, and/or the client would like more or less attention on a specific area or firmer or lighter pressure, it is recommended to notify the massage therapist immediately so that the massage is as satisfactory as possible, all requests are encouraged.
Should any of the above conditions need to be addressed it is advised that the client verbally explain their need and wishes to the therapist, when required.
It is advised that the client indicates during the massage if the pressure needs to be increased or reduced also whether there is a preference for palms and forearms to be used or smaller more precise areas of attention by using knuckles, elbows, and fingers.
A client is recommended to not invite guests especially without prior consultation and consent gained from the massage therapist, however, vulnerable clients who may need assistance from a mental health professional to handle any instances which would require assistance are permitted to attend, if there should be an occurance the massage session will be terminated but might not be valid for a refund.
If an emergency response team is needed to handle the client during or after the session, blame shall not fall upon the massage therapist for any pre-existing condition to manage pain or discomfort.
Once communication and contract have been accepted an email providing the complete address to Empowered-minds therapy centre will be sent and it is strongly requested that clients arrive on time only for their appointment but no earlier than 5 minutes before the start of the appointment.
If arrival is too early access to the centre may be restricted, additionally if a client is late, the session might still be allowed to start but will end at the originally accepted end time without recompence.
The empowered minds massage parlour is housed within a residential living space but privacy is assured, a pet dog also lives in the household and regularly accompanies the therapist and lays in a dog bed although requests he be removed from the massage parlour for the session is accepted.
It is important to schedule plenty of time after the session to maximise full benefit from the treatment and the need and importance of continued homecare to help maintain the benefits received from the massage.
Any unwarranted or illicit requests suggested or implied to the massage therapist at any time could be reason enough to immediately terminate the massage session without refund and could possibly involve law enforcement.
Any conversation or body language that could be understood as an implication of violence, offense, or socially disrespectful towards the massage therapist would be reason enough to have the session terminated and the pre-paid service forfeited.
