The Saginaw Bay CISMA (SB-CISMA) is a collective organization of local participants who wish to assess, prevent, control and manage invasive species within the Saginaw Bay Region. The SB-CISMA exists to create and support collaborative invasive species management among federal and state agencies, municipalities, tribes, nonprofits, community organizations and private landowners within 6 counties in the Saginaw Bay Region by promoting invasive species education and outreach, weed identification and prevention, and invasive species management activities. Invasive species extend and expand across multiple landscapes without regard for private or geopolitical boundaries, and collaboration is essential for effective management. Partnerships grant new and additional resources and increase the efficiency of plant management programs.
