Equi-Health Canada and Canine Health Canada Classes

  • What we require:

    1. Indoor location - arena, barn, horse shelter - we can teach in just about any size area, but do need a place to get out of the elements.
    2. Bathroom facility – this may be a toilet or a portable unit or outhouse, but we do require a bathroom for the students.
    3. Area for the PowerPoint portion of the course - coffee room, classroom, viewing area or corner of the barn - we require an area to plug in our PowerPoint projector, and for students to be able to sit down - chairs or hay bales will do! If this is not available, we can absolutely provide the slides in handout format – please indicate which is your preference.
    4. Equines! We will work with your horses - any age, any breed, any size. We require 1 horse for every 4 students (20 students per class on average but can work with a group of up to 40 if there is adequate space and horses). We do ask that you choose horses that will prove safe to work with for the students, recognizing that horses are living, breathing, reacting animals.
    5. A non-refundable deposit of $150.00 is required to hold the date. This will be deducted from the final balance or applied to one enrollment. An invoice for the deposit will be sent separately.
  • Registrations can be handled two ways:

Option A: The host may choose to collect registrations directly. Course fees are depend on the different courses being offered.

The host agrees to communicate weekly with the instructor as to registrations received as of each week.

The final balance per person is due 10 days prior to the course date, as well as a list of attendees (for certificates and course materials). Registrations may be transferred from one person to another. Late registrations can be accommodated at the discretion of the instructor.

Option B: The instructor will take registrations for attendees, with the help of the host to meet course attendee minimums set out by the instructor. Attendee minimums are dependent on location of the class and may vary.

The instructor agrees to communicate weekly with the host as to registrations received as of each week.
