. APPLICATION PROCESS .
After you submit this form, the Node (Fab Lab) you selected will review your profile and send us feedback on the status of your application.
If the Node (Fab Lab) approves your application, Central Coordination will send you an Acceptance Letter with payment instructions.
You must secure 70% of the Fab Academy fees before the program starts in January.

TUITION FEES
Standard Tuition fee for the year 2021 is 5.000 USD (Euros might apply in some European Labs).
BUT, according to their local cost calculations, some Fab Labs may charge more than 5000 USD or less. Please inform yourself about the specific fees of your selected Fab Lab.

PAYMENTS
In every case, the selected candidates must pay 2.000 USD to confirm participation, maximum 2 weeks after their acceptance.
The remaining part of the tuition fees (e.g 3.000 USD) might be paid in either one or two installments, 50% (e.g 1.500 USD), before 15th of January 2021 and 50% (e.g 1.500 USD) before 15th March 2021.
All payments must be done via FLYWIRE, a secure payment platform we use to collect fees. Payment Instructions will be attached to your Acceptance letter.

Developing and documenting projects assigned to introduce and demonstrate skills

Honestly reporting on my work, quoting other people’s work

Working safely, following all the security measures of the Lab

Leaving workspaces in the same (or better) condition than I found them

Participating in the upkeep of my Fab Lab

Respecting the community in my Fab Lab

Ensuring that my tuition to cover local and central class costs is covered
You will be asked to "sign" this Agreement by committing this file in the Lab repository.

COPYRIGHT LICENSES
Default license for student's work will be under Creative Commons: Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-SA 4.0)
Students interested in researching further can change their licensing if expressly mentioned.
Note: Pictures and videos uploaded by the students in the course of Fab Academy may be used by the organization for academic, pedagogic or promotional purposes, with due acreditation.
