If you've been around Bridgetown for even a short period of time, you know that Bridgetown Communities are the heartbeat of what we do at Bridgetown Church. The first step to joining a Community is to attend Basics. While we were unable to run Basics in the Spring due to COVID-19, we're excited to announce that we'll be hosting Basics again this Fall on the following dates:
Sunday Session: Sunday, Oct 4 from 2:00 - 4:00 PM
Midweek Training Groups: Either Mondays (Oct 12 & 19) or Wednesdays (Oct 14 & 21) from 6:30 – 8:30 PM
Basics, a three part couse, is designed to introduce you to Bridgetown's story, vision, and our model for Communities. This round, with specific COVID precautions, Basics will entail:
1) Podcasts: We'll email you a few podcasts to listen to on your own prior to Basics Sunday.
2) Basics Sunday: We'll be hosting one Sunday session that will be available live at our building for 50 people and online to all who are unable to attend in person. Whether you choose to come in person or online, you will need to fill out our Sunday Registration form that will be sent-out the week of Sept 27 to reserve your spot or receive a Zoom Link.
3) Midweek Training Groups: We'll be hosting midweek Bridgetown Community Training Groups on Monday and Wednesday evenings. We will default to Wednesday night, but if enough people sign up, we will open up Monday nights as well. The Training Groups will be organized geographically and will meet in-person at the church building (2120 NE Tillamook) during the weeks of 10/11 & 10/18.
At the end of all this, the goal is for you to be trained and placed into a new or existing Bridgetown Community! Because we will be covering important information, it is super important for everyone to be present for all three parts of Basics. (If these dates do not work for you, please note that our next round of Basics will likely be offered in January.)
Note: Registration closes on Sunday, October 4.
