• Registration Form for Baby Groups: Bouncy Babies and Peekaboo Babies

  • This is the registration form for Bouncy Babies and Peekaboo Babies. Both groups are for d/Deaf and hard of hearing children aged 0- 18 months and their parents, led by an Early Interventionist, an Early Child Educator/Deaf Role Model, and a Family Support Parent. They provide opportunities to meet other families, share experiences, learn communication strategies, and have fun!

    Bouncy Babies

    In Bouncy Babies, parents learn how to promote early language development through songs, rhymes and books, and explore topic-based discussions. This group is led primarily in spoken English with ASL-English interpreting provided. First and third Tuesday of each month.

    Peekaboo Babies

    In Peekaboo Babies, parents learn how to promote early visual language development through play, explore a bilingual-bicultural (Bi- Bi) approach to communication development, learn ASL rhymes, and explore topics related to Deaf culture. This group is led primarily in ASL with ASL-English interpreting provided. Second and fourth Tuesday of each month.

    Location: Surrey Centre, 15220 92 Avenue, Surrey or online via Zoom

    Day & Time: Most Tuesdays, 10:00AM-11:30AM

    Access: Spoken language interpreters and Closed Captioning are available on request

  • Do you have a child who is deaf and or hard of hearing who is 0-18 months old?*

  • You are ineligible to register at this time. Our baby groups are solely for families whose D/HH children are under 18 months old. If you have any questions, please discuss this with your Early Interventionist.

  • Do you receive early intervention services from BC Family Hearing Resource Society?*

  • Our baby groups are only open to clients of BCFHRS at this time. If you have any questions, please discuss this with your Early Intervention Service Provider.

  • Both groups take place in-person at our Surrey office, with a modified online option available for those who cannot join us in-person. Please select how you will be attending:*

  • Spoken English and American Sign Language (ASL) are used in this group, and ASL-English interpretation services are provided. Spoken language interpreters and Closed Captioning are available on request.

  • Do you require a Spoken Language Interpreter to take part in this group?*

  • Your Early Interventionist will contact you once an interpreter has been secured for your family. Our admin team will also send a reminder email about the baby group once an interpreter has been arranged.
