  • All potential presenters must register their MSRD presentation through this form prior to submitting the abstract. Please consult your mentor regardinig participation in MSRD and the presentation format prior to submitting the registration entry.
     
    Registrants should be prepared to provide the following.
     
      1. confirmation that all presenter and research eligibility requirements are met
      2. presenter name, contact information, and applicable research program, fellowship, or
          scholarship name
      3. faculty or professional mentor(s) name, email address, institution, and school
      4. presentation information including format preference, presentation title, type of research, subject areas, disease or disease model, and affected organ system.
      5. special request, if any, for specific presentation time or limitation and reason for the
          request
     
    Registrants and mentors will receive an email confirmation of the registration entry.  Registrants should retain a copy of the confirmation email and note the Registration ID, which will be used during abstract submission.  Modifications of the registration entry can be made prior to the registration deadline by using the Edit Link included in the registrant's copy of the confirmation email.
     
    Please note that the numbers of oral and poster presentation slots are limited.  Registrants will be notified of the assigned format. Special requests for presentation time will be considered as circumstances allow.
  • Eligibility
  • All of the following requirements for eligibility must be met.
     
    1. Presenter must be a medical student currently attending the University of Maryland School of
        Medicine (UM SOM) and who has completed at least one year of medical school. 2. Presenter must have conducted the research while matriculated as a UM SOM student and
        within two years from the date of MSRD, regardless of the performance location of the research.3. The content of the research must be related to biomedical fields or health topics. Clinical
        case presentations or vignettes are eligible. 4. The research must not have been presented at a previous MSRD. Research that is an extension of research presented at a previous MSRD is permitted. If it is an extension, prior research and data can be included as part of the background and preliminary data. 5. The research must not be part of thesis or dissertation research. Dual degree students
        (MD/PhD and MD/MS) are eligible if the research was conducted prior to PhD or MS
        training.
