For 27 years we have looked forward to this time of year so that we can come together and raise money for our Hampton School District. But these are different times, and "coming together" isn't something we can do right now. But we can still find ways to support our community and help out in any way possible. And we can still do so with those close to us, particularly those we've been spending time with over the last five months!
This year's HAEE Run/Walk will be less about competition and more about fun and community, focusing even more on our "Talbots Together" campaign. But don't worry students... all school challenges will still take place! For the last five months we all have spent time walking our neighborhoods, chatting with neighbors (six feet away of course), and strengthening our most local communities. For this year's Run/Walk we want you all to come together, again, to celebrate how far we've come and how we will continue to become stronger as a community! On October 3rd at 9 am we are asking that you join your fellow neighbors and run or walk together, in your own neighborhoods, talk to each other, enjoy the time outdoors and with one another, and know that your race registration is making a difference in our schools.
Post the pictures on our social media, add the hashtag #TalbotsTogether, and we will continue to promote this sense of community and togetherness that has made Hampton special for so many years!
All registrations will include t-shirt and race bag filled with sponsor promotions and discounts. Shirt/bag pick-up at Alcoa Pavilion in Hampton Community Park on Thursday 10/1 from 5:00pm-8:00pm and Saturday 10/3 from 6:00am-8:30am. Alcoa Pavilion is across from sand volleyball court. If this pick up does not work for you due to health concerns please contact michael.dolinger@hamptonalliance.org to arrange another option.
