    A Note on Calculus AB & BC: Calculus AB and BC are 'Self-Study' courses, meaning they are not courses that are amalgamated into the MCV4U course at Crestwood. Students who register for Calculus AB or BC will be allowed to write their exam at Crestwood, but once again we do not run formal AP Calculus AB or BC courses with our MCV4U curriculum.

    However, those students who would like some extra guidance and assistance with their self-study preparations are encouraged to reach out to Mr. Walker in the Math department!

    Mr. Walker runs an informal AP support group for AP Calculus students with the help of Khan Academy.

    * Note: You cannot take both the Calculus AB and Calculus BC exams in the same school year.

    If you are interested in enrolling in Pre-Calculus, please add 'Self-Study' to your online order and specify Pre-Calculus in the comments!

    As of October 2025, I am considering the study of the following AP course(s):

    By signing below, I will adhere to the following actions, procedures and policies developed for my successful study of an AP course:
    1. I realize that additional work and effort on my part is necessary for studying AP courses and that this may entail self-directed study and review of the AP curriculum.
    2. I realize that I am expected to attend and participate positively in any teacher-initiated preparation sessions outside of my class time (attendance will be taken) and that I am encouraged to take the initiative to organize study sessions with my peers.
    3. I have met with my AP instructor and I am aware of the mark policy for my AP assignments as outlined by my AP Teacher. This includes an understanding of the assignment guidelines and due dates, which will require submissions throughout the school year.
    4. I am aware that I cannot take class time away from my regular classes to prepare for or to recover from any AP-related sessions or exams.
    5. I am aware of the following deadlines and their consequences: 
      • I will pre-pay $225.00 per AP course for writing the AP exam in May.
      • By February 20, 2026 I will notify Guidance and my AP Teacher IN WRITING that I will not be writing the AP exam (students will receive a $75.00 refund per course; no refund will be given following this date).
    6. I am aware that I am not obligated to send my AP marks to my university choices (excluding McGill University).

    Each AP course is $225.00 (CDN). Entry into the AP program at Crestwood will not be processed without accompanying payment.

  • Tax Information: T2202A Tuition, Education and Textbook Amounts Certificate

    Enrollment in the Advanced Placement (AP) program at Crestwood during the 2025 taxation year will allow families to claim a tax deduction. As Advanced Placement Courses are deemed to be equal to university-level (post-secondary) courses, they may be treated as such under our federal/provincial tax laws. Please include a parent or guardian contact email below where the T2202A - Tuition, Education and Textbook Amounts Certificate can be sent in January 2026:
