    Thank you for your interest in OMSI's Internship Program! Our current openings are listed below. Please check back often because new positions will be added. 

    Before you apply for OMSI's Internship Program, be sure to contact your financial aid or career services office to ensure your eligibility and to communicate your interest in our opportunities. All current internships with OMSI are available to individuals who are associated with an organization who can compensate them for a portion or all of their dedicated time. If you are not associated with one of these organizations, but would like to get involved with OMSI, please email volunteer@omsi.edu with your interests.

    In order to complete your OMSI Internship application, you will need to have the following items prepared for submission:

    1. Your Maximum Number of Hours per Week or   Award Amount
    2. Contact Information for at least one professional reference 
    3. A PDF or word document of your current resume
    4. A PDF or word document of your cover letter . In your cover letter, address the following:

     

    • Why are you interested in this particular internship opportunity?
    • What skills, knowledge (including coursework), and experiences will you bring to OMSI? Be sure to highlight experiences in science, education, or customer service.
    • What do you hope to learn and gain from this internship position at OMSI?
    • Please note: we recommend using the career and writing center resources from your school or organization.

    A. Work-study students must be able to perform activities of daily living without assistance from OMSI staff while on duty.
