TOURNAMENT RULES: USA ARCHERY including USAA World Archery rules effective April 1, 2020 will be enforced. Noted exceptions below

CHAMPIONSHIP ELIGIBILITY: USA Archery membership listing Arizona as your residence is required for you to compete for State Championship titles and awards. Guests (Non-USAA and/or Non-Arizonans) will be identified as guests but will shoot in their appropriate catagory. Guests that earn a podium finish will receive a non championship award.
CHAMPIONSHIP AWARDS: Awards will be given to the top 3 in Qualification Rounds. Champion will be based on Qualification Round. All awards will be dropped off at their appropriate club. No awards celebration at event.
2020 Arizona State Championship will be a 72 arrow qualifying round to determine the state champion. No elimination round

COVID 19 GUIDELINES
TO FOLLOW HEALTH GUIDELINES OF THE STATE OF ARIZONA, ARIZONA GAME AND FISH, AND BEN AVERY SHOOTING FACILITY; ALL PEOPLE WHO ENTER THE RANGE MUST WEAR A MASK AT ALL TIMES. Archers do not wear a mask when shooting. IF THE AGENCIES REMOVE THIS RESTRICTION, WE WILL REMOVE THE RESTRICTION. THERE ARE INDIVIDUALS THAT HAVE A CARD RELEASING THEM OF THE RESTRICTION. THEY MUST EMAIL A COPY OF THIS CARD TO DESERTSKYARCHERS@GMAIL.COM
WE PREFER EVERYONE SUPPLY THEIR OWN MASK. HOWEVER WE WILL HAVE A LIMITED SUPPLY ON HAND IF SOMEONE NEEDS ONE.
FAMILY MEMBERS/COACHES OF ARCHERS ARE RESTRICTED TO 1 PER ARCHER AT THIS TIME for Cubs and Bowman . Cadets and older are only allowed a family member/coach if their is a health need. Contact Desertskyarchers@gmail.com for permission prior to registration.
NO FOOD OR WATER WILL BE SOLD AT THE EVENT. ARCHERS WILL HAVE ACCESS TO FREE WATER.
EVERYONE ENTERING THE RANGE WILL HAVE THEIR TEMPERATURE CHECKED. ARCHERS WILL BE SENT A QUESTIONAIRE AS PART OF THEIR ON LINE CHECK IN. HEALTH QUESTIONS WILL BE ASKED. IF SOMEONE IS NOT HEALTHY OR HAS COVID SYMPTOMS WITHOUT BEING TESTED AND HAVING A NEGATIVE RESULT WILL BE ASKED TO NOT ATTEND TOURNAMENT.
ARCHER/FAMILY MEMBERS/COACHES EXPRESSLY AGREE THAT DESERT SKY ARCHERS, USA ARCHERY ARIZONA, USA ARCHERY, ARIZONA GAME AND FISH, BEN AVERY SHOOTING FACILITY, THE STATE OF ARIZONA PLUS ANY AND ALL INDIVIUALS ASSOCIATED WITH THE ABOVE MENTIONED GROUPS CAN NOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE IF ANYONE CONTRACTS THE COVID 19 VIRUS WHILE ATTENDING THE TOURNAMENT.
ARCHERS TO BRING THEIR OWN PENS AND TARGET PINS. THEY WILL PUT UP THEIR OWN TARGET FACES. DESERT SKY ARCHERS WILL PROVIDE THE TARGET FACES.
DESERT SKY ARCHERS WILL SPRAY DOWN THE TARGET MATTS AND WIPE DOWN ALL HARD SURFACES BETWEEN SESSIONS
DESERT SKY ARCHERS WILL PROVIDE HAND SANITIZER AT KEY LOCATIONS OF THE RANGE.
MAXIMUM OF 50 PEOPLE AT THE RANGE. DSA HOLDS THE RIGHT TO CONTROL WHO ENTERS TO ENSURE ARCHERS, STAFF, YOUTH ARCHER ASSISTANTS, HEALTH ASSISTANTS AND JUDGES ARE FULL ACCESS TO RANGE.
ARCHERS AND THEIR FAMILIES WILL LEAVE THE RANGE IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE FINAL END OF THE DAY. THEY WILL TURN IN THE SCORECARD AT A DESIGNATED PLACE KEEPING 6' SOCIAL DISTANCING. THEY HAVE 30 MINUTES TO TURN IN SCORECARD AFTER THEIR FINAL END OF THE DAY. ARCHER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR SCORECARD BEING CORRECT.
ARCHERS ARRIVING TO THE TOURNAMENT MAY BE ASKED TO WAIT OUTSIDE THE RANGE AREA UNTIL THE PREVIOUS GROUP IS DONE OR OCCUPANCY NUMBERS ALLOW THEM TO ENTER
IF THE STATE OF ARIZONA, ARIZONA GAME AND FISH, BEN AVERY SHOOTING FACITY OR USA ARCHERY CHANGE THE POLICIES IN A WAY THAT CHANGES THE FORMAT AND/OR IMPACTS THE ARCHER, THE ARCHER WILL BE NOTIFIED VIA EMAIL.
CHECK IN WILL BE DONE ONLINE TWO DAYS PRIOR TO START OF TOURNAMENT. YOUR CHECK IN INFORMATION WILL HAVE YOUR LANE NUMBER AND SHOOTING POSITION.
THERE WILL BE EQUIPMENT INSPECTION, JUDGES WILL GO TO LANE AND CALL UP ARCHERS.

Our goal is to run the tournament as close as possible to this schedule but situations such as weather, protests or equipment failures may require us to modify the schedule. Announcements will be made at the Field.

¨ Bowman (Participants may compete as a “Bowman” through the calendar year of their 12th birthday)
¨ Cub (Participants may compete as a “Cub” through the calendar year of their 14th birthday)
¨ Cadet (Participants may compete as a “Cadet” through the calendar year of their 17th birthday)
¨ Junior (Participants may compete as a “Junior” through the calendar year of their 20th birthday)
¨ Masters (Participants may compete as a “Masters” beginning in the calendar year of their 50th birthday)
¨ Senior (any age)
Collegiate Archer Division: Must be a registered member of a collegiate archery team.
USAA Membership Information: Your membership number and expiration date are required at registration.
USAA Membership must be current at time of registration AND tournament.
Championship -JOADS ¨ $40.00 (eligible for Title and Award)
Championship –Adults ¨ $45.00 (eligible for Title and Award)
Multiple Archer Family ¨ $110.00, for immediate families of 3 archers
Archers may be asked to show their USAA membership card at tournament check-in.
To be eligible for an award, Arizona MUST BE your designated home state with USA Archery AND USA Archery Arizona at time of registration and competition.
