In order to be in good standing with the Clark Atlanta University Alumni
Association, Inc. (hereafter CAUAA), a local Chapter or Affiliate organization must meet the following requirements:
- Submission to the National President, National Recording Secretary, and National Corresponding Secretary per an Annual Chapter Reports as
prescribed by the Constitution & By-Laws
- Submission of the Chapter or Affiliate Profile Data Form to the National
President, National Recording Secretary, and National Corresponding
Secretary no later than July 1st.
- Submission of Chapter or Affiliation fee and any national membership dues by July 1st.
- Attendance by the local Chapter or Affiliate President or at least two major elected officers at Fall Alumni Conference, May Alumni Weekend, any called meeting of the Association, and participation in one local College Fair and/or recruitment initiative.
- Adherence and demonstration of implementation to the National Strategic
Plan by undergoing a recruitment, fundraising, and membership strategy for your alumni chapter or affiliate
- Attach a tentative calendar for FY ‘20
In accordance with the goals set by the National Alumni Association, each Chapter or Affiliate is expected to make an annual contribution towards the national goals.
Failure to comply with one or more of the requirements listed above may subject the Chapter or Affiliate to such sanctions as the following:
- Written sanction of the Chapter or Affiliate by the National Board of
Directors.
- Suspension of the rights of any Chapter or Affiliate member to be
nominated to run for national officer.
- Suspension of the Chapter or Affiliate until the deficiency is corrected.
Consequences set forth above may be imposed by CAUAA only upon the
recommendation of a Compliance Panel composed of the National Vice President, the Chair of the Membership Committee, three designated Chapter
Presidents/Affiliates, the Director of National Alumni Relations serving as
facilitator. Appeal of such sanctions must be submitted in writing to the Board of Directors of CAUAA addressed to the President by the aggrieved chapter within thirty (30) days of receipt of notice sanctions.
