Fostering is an integral part of the rescue process. We need foster homes in order to save lives, treat medical issues and work on behavioral issues prior to adoption.

Foster families are responsible for providing a safe, loving environment for the foster animal, socializing, observing behaviors and reporting them back to PawPrints, as well as notifying PawPrints of any health or behavioral concerns. All veterinary care must be discussed with and approved by PawPrints prior to assuming expenses. The foster family will have input in the decision to approve an applicant for their foster animal.

The application will be reviewed by the Foster Coordinator and the Board of Directors and can be declined for any reason.

Your signature (electronic or otherwise) also indicates that you will hold harmless PawPrints Animal Rescue, Inc. in the event that this foster animal causes harm to you or any other living thing while in your care. You will also not hold PawPrints Animal Rescue, Inc. responsible for any damage done to property.

Our Promise to Foster Families: PawPrints Animal Rescue, Inc., will never knowingly place an ill or poorly socialized animal in a foster home without first apprising the foster family of the situation. Thank you so much for your application!

In consideration of PawPrints Animal Rescue offering this volunteer opportunity, I agree to the following, intending it to be legally bound:

1. My/our child(ren), or child(ren) under my/our guardianship, has enough experience wi th dogs and is mature enough to volunteer with PawPrints Animal Rescue and to participate in activities with dogs/puppies of all sizes. 2. Whenever my/our child(ren), or a child(ren) under my/our legal guardianship, participate(s) in PawPrints Animal Rescue activities, I/We hereby release, and agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless PawPrints Animal Rescue, it’s directors, officers, employees, agents, and volunteers, and its and their heirs, successors, assigns, and personal representatives, from and against liability for any injuries, damages, liabilities, losses, judgments, costs, or expenses whatsoever (the “Losses”), which such child(ren) or any pet or other person might suffer or sustain, except any Losses which are the result of PawPrints Animal Rescue’s gross negligence or intentional misconduct. 3. I acknowledge that there are risks that the child(ren) could be bitten, scratched, injured, or frightened by the dogs/puppi es and I/We assume such risks. 4. I understand and agree that PawPrints Animal Rescue may refuse volunteer applications for any reason. 5. I have accurately and truthfully completed this Permission and Release Form. 6. This Permission and Release Form is binding upon me, my spouse, partner, and my and his or her respective heirs, successors, assigns, executors, and personal representatives.
