Artspace is happy to present our 32nd year of hands-on summer camps! Students in rising grades 3–12, will learn tricks, tips and techniques from professional artists in fun and creative week-long classes.
This summer, we are excited to offer both in person and virtual classes.
All in person classes take place at Artspace, located at 201 East Davie Street in downtown Raleigh’s City Market area. Students must have access to transportation to be able to attend classes at Artspace.
Virtual classes are held through Zoom, a free online conferencing program that allows instructors and students to see and speak to each other. Our virtual classes are designed to be engaging, interactive and as similar as possible to our in person classes. Students must have access to a device and wifi in order to participate in virtual classes.
Each summer, Artspace offers up to 60 full, financial need-based scholarships to Wake County students to participate in our Summer Art Camps.
In light of the range of financial difficulties many families are facing due to the pandemic, Artspace will not restrict eligibility to only students who are on subsidized lunch programs for Summer 2021. We hope and trust that families who truly need assistance will apply.
Families will have the choice to apply for a scholarship for either in person or virtual instruction.
In Person Scholarship:
In person scholarships will cover the cost of a half day or full day of camp for one week. Full day scholarship recipients will receive lunch every day free of charge from our lunch vendor sponsor (vegetarian options available). Read our Covid-19 Safety Policies.
Virtual scholarships cover the cost of one week long virtual class and the supply kit for that class.
DEADLINE for scholarship applications: May 5, 2021
Scholarships are limited and awarded on a first-come, first served basis
