  • About MICS

The research goal at MICS is to improve efficiency and productivity of designing and verifying analog/mixed-signal ICs. We are looking for candidates who are not only good with circuit design, but also interested in methodology development, maths related to circuit modeling and simulation, and software coding. Please read our website (http://mics.snu.ac.kr) carefully whether our research directions are aligned with yours before you apply.
  • Your Motivation

MICS is looking for strongly motivated researchers who can look for problems unsolved and dare to solve them despite what others say.
  • XMODEL

XMODEL is a tool originally developed by MICS to address the verification challenges of many mixed-signal ICs. While XMODEL is now commercialized by our spin-off, Scientific Analog, it still serves as a starting point for many research projects at MICS. Please take time to learn about XMODEL using the video below.
  • Paper Reading

One of the reason why graduate study is a long journey is that you need to first find a meaningful research problem to solve, devise a solution to solve it, and explain to others why your solution is good using supporting results. The best way to learn this process to read many research papers. If you've never read any papers, we'd like to get you started when you are most motivated to do so.
  • Choose any one paper published from MICS. Read it thoroughly and answer the following questions. Each answer should be concise using one or two sentences, but must express the key content precisely.
