OCB's 10th Anniversary Chili Cook-Off Contest
Do you make great chili? Do you know someone who does? We’re looking for friends to make chili for our 10th Anniversary Party/Chili Cook-Off!
When and Where:
Saturday, October 11, 2025 - 12 PM to 4 PM, 1670 E North St., Crown Point, IN 46307
Details:
The chili should be prepared off-site and be brought to the event in a container suitable for keeping the food warm; a crock-pot, roaster or warming pot is suggested. Contestants can set up tables as early as 11:30PM to be ready to serve by 12PM. Each contestant will be provided with a table and tablecloth for his/her serving station. Contestants should provide their own serving spoon and may bring garnishes that are normally served with his/her recipe. This may include onions, cheese, crostini, crackers, hot sauces, etc. Tasting cups and spoons for attendees will be provided. Each contestant should provide an ample supply (i.e. one crock pot) of his/her recipe to serve samples to guests. Approximately 100 people are expected to attend the event. Contestants will have a tip jar on their table during the competition. The contestant who raises the most funds will win the “Tip Jar” award. Tips will be donated to OCB to fund programs. Guests at the event will be given tickets to vote for the “People’s Choice Award.” 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes will awarded. Feel free to wear a costume if you'd like to enter the costume contest!
