    Explaining the Resurrection

    Text: Acts 2:22-36

    Main Idea: The resurrection of Jesus was not only prophesied, but confirmed through eye witnesses proving that Jesus is truly the exalted Messiah & Lord of all!

  • 1. The Prophecy: Psalm 16:8-11 predicted the   of the Messiah. (v. 25-28, Ps 16:8-11)

    •  Jesus’ daily life: He experienced God’s constant presence, power & provision with      &      in His heart. (25-26)
    • Jesus’ confidence: God would deliver Him from    &     . (27)
    • Jesus’ revelation: God made known to Jesus His resurrection &      into God’s presence. (28)


    2. The Explanation: The rationale clearly reveals that God predicted the resurrection of the      , NOT David. (v. 29-31, 2 Sam 7:11-16)

    3. The Eyewitnesses: The      verified the resurrection of Jesus. (32)

    4.The Conclusion:  Jesus is truly the      Savior & Lord! (33-36, Ps 110:1)

    •  Jesus has      into heaven & has been exalted to the right hand of God!
    • From that exalted position, Jesus      out the Holy Spirit just as promised.
