  • WHY WE ARE HERE AGAIN; TO SPREAD THE MESSAGE:

We are calling for meaningful support from the Government until the industry is allowed to operate in a way that is not limited by social distancing policies including:

    1. Grants – not loans – made available to businesses in the events supply chain.

    2. Furlough scheme extended until the industry is back to work.

    3. Extension of the self-employment scheme, tailored towards the industry.

  • Creative Demonstration details

On 29th September we will be holding the We Make Events ‘Stand As One’ creative demonstration outside Parliament. The demo is a open to all event industry freelancers, full time employees & business owners affected by the shutdown of events due to Covid 19. We are asking the government for financial support for all 3 of these groups.

Please join us for a socially distanced, safe, organised showing of the people of our industry to Parliament.

We will gather in Parliament Square & stand still & quiet for 30 minutes.

Bring Placards - please consider below:

#WeMakeEvents is a non political organisation which has a fundraising efforts in the same name. We will jeopardise work if we bring ‘down with the government’ & anti Boris signs etc. Tell of your plight, how this affects you, what you’ve lost but remember we need to persuade Parliament to back us.

Everyone attending will need to register online for track & trace.

    3. Don’t gather in pubs & bars in the surrounding areas afterwards.

    4. Start gathering at 12.10 onwards. At 12.30 stand still & quiet, socially distanced until 13:00. Then disperse in an orderly fashion on foot if possible.
