I have a question about submitting an application.
Please Select
Q. When will the IFSP Portal be back up? I would like to apply for funding.
Q. I would like to apply for IFSP-Funding. Where is the application located?
Q. How do I log into the IFSP Portal to fill out an application?
Q. When will the application be available?
Q. How long will it take before a funding decision is reached after I submit my application?
Q. What is WaMS? How do I know if my information is correct in it?
Q. Last year I had issues with the information I submitted on my application not being properly matched in WaMS. How can I ensure the same thing does not happen this year?
Q. What if my need changes after I have completed the application?
Q. There was a system glitch during the FY 2020 IFSP-Funding cycle. I applied but since I didn't receive money, I must not have made the cut for funding if it has already been distributed. Is this a valid assessment? Would that make me still eligible for FY2021?
Q. I am signed up for the emails, so will I receive the application form online?
I have a question about changes to the funding program.
Please Select
Q. Why is the funding available so much later than last year?
Q. In the past, the funding program was available on a first-come, first served basis. Is that still the case?
Q. Why did IFSP change?
Q. I can’t attend a town hall; how else can I learn about the IFSP changes?
Q. What categories of funding are available for FY 2021 and how do I know which one I should apply for?
Q. What category will I fall under if I don’t have a case manager?
Q. Can I apply for both funding categories?
Q. What is the purpose of Emergency Assistance Funding?
Q. What is the maximum amount that I could receive for Emergency Assistance Funding?
Q. Can I apply for Emergency Assistance Funding for more than one child?
Q. Can I apply for Emergency Assistance Funding more than once?
Q. Will individuals be allowed to apply for Emergency Assistance Funding even if they are approved for one of the other two categories of funding?
Q. What determines an emergency situation?
Q. Will case managers receive a list of what is considered an emergency?
Q. For the true emergencies that require urgent assistance, who will refer me to local assistance options?
Q. With regard to rent, for example, and requesting Emergency Assistance Funding, do you know if an eviction letter would be required for assistance, or will hardship be sufficient?
Q. What is the purpose of Active Service Coordination Needs Funding?
Q. Can I apply for the Active Service Coordination Funding during both funding periods if I have not maxed out my total fund allowance?
Q. If I am unable to receive Active Service Coordination Needs Funding, can I apply for Emergency Assistance Funding?
Q. What is the maximum amount that I could receive for Active Service Coordination Needs Funding?
Q. If you are eligible for Active Service Coordination Needs Funding in the fall, will you be able to apply it for the spring?
Q. What items will be funded by Active Service Coordination Needs that are not covered by Targeted Case Management services or CCC Plus Waiver services?
Q. Is Active Service Coordination Needs Funding a $1,000 total or $500 twice a year? So a limit of $1,000 available twice a year by applying twice per year for Active Service Coordination Needs and receiving $1,000 total per fiscal year, correct?
Q. For individuals who have received Early Intervention, they are not able to obtain Targeted Case Management, so does that make them ineligible for the first bucket?
Q. Can an applicant that is receiving the CCC Plus Waiver receive IFSP-Funding for respite or assistive technology?
Q. Is the maximum award amount for General Assistance Funding $500? Will this funding be awarded once a year?
Q. What is the purpose of General Assistance Funding?
Q. What is the maximum amount that I could receive for General Assistance Funding?
Q. If funds are left over from the year will they be rolled into the Emergency Assistance Funding or will they go into the General Assistance Funding?
Q. Does this mean there will be no more funds left by time the general funding is available?
Q. Can you apply for more than one funding category?
Q. If I think I qualify for bucket one but it is determined by IFSP staff that I do not qualify, can I still apply for bucket two?
Q. Will past or outstanding medical bills be considered for any bucket?
Q. The General Assistance Funding maximum award amount is $500 and won't be available until spring 2021?
Q. The people that fall into the General Assistance category need just as much assistance as those falling in the Active Service Coordination Needs category. Why can’t the General Assistance Funding award amount be higher?
Q. If a client with a waiver needs a bed, could that bed be covered by Emergency Assistance Funding or General Assistance Funding?
Q. Did you say that individuals on the CCC Plus Waiver who need additional supports will receive priority from IFSP-Funding, rather than individuals who are on the DD Waiver Waiting List and don't qualify for the CCC Plus Waiver but still are in need of supports and services?
Q. If a family accidentally applies for funds in the wrong category, but their request is legitimate will someone redirect their application or will their application be denied with instructions to reapply via a different pot of funds?
Q. Are rent, mortgage, and utility assistance eligible for assistance under General Assistance Funding and Active Service Coordination Needs Funding?
Q. Can I use the funds for health issues, medication, and services?
Q. Did the budget for IFSP-Funding increase this year?
Q. Previously, there were categories where an applicant could request funding for outside of the new criteria. Is that still the case?
Q. When does the funding cycle begin?
Q. Will I have to submit receipts?
Q. When can I start applying for funds?
Q. Will funds be issued via debit card?
Q. If you submit an application for Active Service Coordination Needs and are not eligible, would that request then be pushed to General Assistance?
Q. The General Assistance Funding states that only those who have not received funds from any other IFSP-Funding assistance pool can apply. If I received assistance last year, does that mean I can't apply this year?
Q. Based on this formula, it looks like my son will be less likely to get funds. We are private pay and these funds are helpful in assisting us in covering the cost of services not covered by insurance.
Q. With the revised system, do you expect to be able to provide funds to more people in need?
Q: My daughter is on the DD Waiver Waiting List and receives ABA therapy costing approximately $500 per month annually. Is there any other funding available other than the $200-500?
Q. Will the application for General Assistance Funding look different or will it ask the same information?
