We are happy to have you here at ALOHA. We would like to take a few moments to share some of the center’s policies and procedures that are important to your child’s time in ALOHA. Note: The terms, conditions, fees and polices are subject to change without notice.

Student Drop-Off and Pick-Up

Classes begin and end promptly at the scheduled time.  Please plan to drop your child at the center at least 5 minutes early, but no more than 10 minutes before class.  Likewise, please arrange to pick him/her up on time after the class.  Late pick-up fee of $10 for every 15 minutes apply.  To ensure your child’s safety, he/she is requested to remain inside the center until you arrive.

Attendance and Supplies

It will take time to reach the goals for your child.  It is essential that you and your child make a commitment to completing the program and spending the time necessary in order for your child to have the best possible experience at ALOHA and achieve great results.

Your child must attend the scheduled weekly class to ensure proper understanding of concepts.

Make sure your child brings the required supplies to each class to include a pencil, eraser, abacus, workbooks (math program), and/or homework, journal (Reading | Writing).

Missing Scheduled Classes and Make-Up Sessions

Under special circumstances, if your child will be missing a class, the Center Director or owner must be notified by email, at least 24 hours in advance. Only then will a make-up class be scheduled. All make-up classes are of 1-hour duration and they expire by December 31st of the current year.

Although we have an option of making up a missed class, please understand that a make-up class will not replace a missed session. Remember, you must contact the Center Director at least 24 hours in advance, if your child is going to miss his/her class and it is your responsibility to follow up to ensure that your child attends the make-up class before the next scheduled class. All make-up sessions expire at the end of the calendar year.

If you are taking a leave of absence or vacation longer than three weeks, you must provide notification at least 4 weeks in advance.  If the leave is more than 90 days, the child will need to be re-registered.

Assessment Weeks

For abacus program, the session held during an assessment week (i.e. the last week of the level, usually the 12th week) will last ONLY for an hour (1 hour) or an hour and a half (1½ hours). So, during an assessment week, parents are required to come early to pick-up their children.

Fees

A late fee of $10.00 will be charged to your account, if payment is not received by the 5th day of the month. Child will not allowed to attend classes if fees are not received by 15th of the month.

A service charge of $30.00 will be charged for any returned checks or returned/declined payments. 

A convenience fee of $50 will be charged once the child graduates from any program.

Payments, Refunds, and Transfers

Make checks payable to ALOHA MIND MATH or Talentz Inc.  The program fee is due on the 5th day of each month.

For non-payment by due date, an amount equal to the tuition due plus applicable fees and a late fee of $10 will be charged to the credit card on file with a service charge of 5%.

Program fees are not based on attendance and no adjustments/refunds will be made for missed sessions, holidays, and/or center closing.

The registration fee and program fees (monthly) are nonrefundable.

If you are moving and will be transferring to another ALOHA Center, you must notify the owner/Center Director at least four weeks in advance in writing.

Security Deposit

The security deposit that is collected is applied toward the last month’s fee, if the proper notice period is provided by you, in case you are withdrawing your child from the program. You must provide ALOHA with a 4-week notice if you are withdrawing your child from any ALOHA program.  Only in case of level payment, if appropriate notice is provided, then the security deposit will be returned.

Level Completion Certificate/Unit Reports

At the end of each level or unit, your child will be tested on the concepts learned, and they will be provided a level completion certificate or unit report, whichever is applicable. The certificate or report will include your child’s (letter) grade. Answer sheets will not be shared.

Limitation of Liability Clause

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the parents, guardian(s) and/or students agree to limit the liability for their damages to the insurance coverage available at the time of settlement or judgment. This limitation shall apply regardless of the cause of action or legal theory pled or asserted.  I have read and understood the Limitation of Legal Liability Clause and agree to it.

I, the parent or guardian of said individual, hereby give my consent and agree to release, indemnify and hold harmless the Talentz Group LLC, Talentz Inc, ALOHA Mind Math, its instructors and representatives, from any claim arising out of injury to the above name individual.  

Participation in annual competition

Parents, guardians and students agree to participate in all the annual competitions organized by ALOHA and authorize Talentz Inc to charge or invoice the registration amount for these competitions.  Talentz Inc or ALOHA will notify the parents details of the competition, however, it is not required to get approval for charging the registration amount. 

Confidentiality

Parents, guardians and students may not use or transmit ALOHA materials, methodologies or content for any new or existing business venture. Parents, guardians and students may not invest in or be employed by any new or existing business venture that offers abacus-based programs for children for a period of three years after enrolling in ALOHA.

• The program is for informational purposes only and does NOT conform to any standard or qualification prescribed by any private, government or educational entity.
• Apogee Learning LLC /  ALOHA USA /  ALOHA Mind Math / Talentz Inc do not make any warranty that (a) the program offered will meet your requirements, (b) operations of class room session will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error free or that any errors will be corrected. Apogee Learning LLC / ALOHA USA / ALOHA Mind Math / Talentz Inc do not take any responsibility for the application and / or usage of our program.
