COVID-19 POLICY AND PROTOCOL
The following protocols are designed to enhance your safety and comply with national, state, and local guidelines. As those guidelines change, our protocols may also change in concordance. We understand that these times are challenging, and the Club appreciates everyone’s patience and understanding as we navigate as responsibly as we can. Together, we can find new ways to have fun while being diligent and maintaining the proper physical distance. Please be responsible and help us safely implement these requirements. Doing so can help ensure the safety of all involved. COVID-19 is extremely contagious, and it is reported to be spread through the air, from touching contaminated surfaces, and from experiencing person to person contact. There is no known treatment, cure, or vaccine for COVID-19, which is an ailment that can cause severe illness and death. Federal, state, and local governments have recommended and/or required various precautions including, but not limited to, social distancing and wearing face covering. These recommendations were made to lessen the spread of the virus within our communities. Please visit the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s official website for the most up-to-date information and guidance.
Face masks will be required by all staff members, coaches, athletes, parents, and other individuals participating in the off-season program.
Daily temperature checks will be conducted at the front gate of any venue. If you have a temperature greater than 100.4 degrees fahrenheit, you will be denied entry to that practice and, possibly, others.
All athletes, coaches, spectators, volunteers, and staff members will be denied entry if any of the following applies to them:
- You have had close contact with an individual infected with COVID-19 within the last 14 days.
- You are currently experiencing, or in the past 14 days have experienced, high, coughing, and/or shortness of breath.
- Within the last 14 days, you have had close contact with an individual suspected of being affected by COVID-19 (this includes any individuals who were exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms at the time of contact).
- You have traveled to an area that is under a negative travel advisory by the US Department of State.
All common throwing implements, hurdles, relay batons, and starting blocks will be sanitized after each practice.
Athletes should maintain social distancing while in the warm-up area.
Bottled water will be provided to athletes for hydration purposes. Athletes are required to bring their own labeled water bottles.
