THE AMERICAN RED CROSS WILL NOT ALLOW"ONLINE ONLY" CLASSES AND COURSES DESIGNED BY PRIVATE BUSINESSES OR ORGANIZATIONS TO BE ACCEPTED FOR INITIAL INSTRUCTOR CERTIFICATION. Blended learning courses (an in person skills session with an instructor was attended) are accepted. Your certification should not say "online" on the card.
Students cannot reserve a seat while they obtain First Aid and CPR certification - NO EXCEPTIONS
Thank you for your interest as an American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor. Please complete the information below and attach a copy of your First Aid/CPR/AED certification. In order to register for an instructor course you must:
be at least 16 years of age on the date of class
certified as a First Aid/CPR/AED Provider. 100% online classes (online course with no in person skills session) will not be accepted
This course will train instructor candidates to teach American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED courses. In order to participate in this course, you must possess a current basic-level American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED certification or equivalent (certifications issued by AHA, ARC, ASHI and NSC) and be at least 16 years of age on the last day of the instructor course. Upon registration, it is important that you review and follow the directions on the e-mail attachment sent with your registration confirmation. This is a blended learning course consisting of online content, a precourse skills session and classroom segments. Online material must be completed prior to attending the classroom activities. All students must have copies of either printed or digital versions of the following:

We are happy to affiliate potential and qualified instructors at Moon Valley CPR. We will explain your responsibilities as an instructor, the teaching expectations of the American Red Cross, our roles as a training center, and complete the documentation for instructor affiliation. We do not charge an affilation fee.
New instructors are encouraged to observe a class before teaching. The lead instructor will discuss class documentation and submission, set up, teaching strategies, and the workflow of a typical class. Instructors must be monitored while teaching their first class and may assist with classes until they feel confident in a lead instructor position.
