Criteria & Guideline
The nominee should
- Influence people, policy and thinking with regard to politics, education, religion, civil and human rights issues that affect people of color in the greater Kalamazoo community and beyond
- Positively affect lives through community service and other civic activities to impact the greater Kalamazoo community and beyond
- Effectuate change in the greater Kalamazoo area and beyond
Humanitarian Award Recipient
The winner of the Humanitarian Award will be honored during the Freedom Fund Banquet, Saturday, November 2, 2024 at 5 p.m. (doors open at 4 p.m.) at the Radisson Hotel (100 W. Michigan Avenue).

Only typed/computer generated nominations will be accepted.
Nominations can be completed online, mailed or downloaded and emailed to info@naacpkalamazoo.org.

Community members can nominate candidates for the Humanitarian Award on a rolling basis. However, the deadline to submit candidate nominations for the 2024 Freedom Fund Banquet is Friday, September 13, 2024 by 11:59PM EST.
