    For High School Students
  • Thanks for checking us out!

This is a fun place to serve with a wide variety of ways to get involved. As a part of the team, you'll have the opportunity to have an impact on hundreds of kids and families who walk through our doors. If all this sounds good, keep reading.

  • About You

Because you will be a role model, please answer the following questions.
  • We're all in different places in our journey. And that's okay. But we ask that those who work in our Preschool and Elementary small groups or have on-stage verbal roles be Christ-followers. There are opportunities regardless of your spiritual orientation.

  • There are plenty of things you can do, but

PLEASE DO NOT DO THE FOLLOWING:

    Leave the room.

Once you arrive, stay until the last kid from your hour leaves.

Bring your own food in the room.

That's just bad manners to eat in front of other people, even if they are little kids.

    Use your phone.

You are an important part of the team. Texting does not help the kids or other volunteers in your room, so don't do it.

    Check kids out.

Only adult volunteers in the room should do this.

    Roughhouse with kids.

Swinging kids by their arms, legs, ears or any other appendages, or tickling. (Yeah really. No tickling.)

    Be alone with a kid.

That's not safe for you or the child. You should always be in the room with at least one other volunteer. Do not take a kid alone to the bathroom, resource room or anywhere else.

  • Personal References

List 2 adults (18 or older) you have known for at least a year, who are not related to you and have a definite knowledge of your character and ability to work with kids. (for example pastor, close friend, and/or teacher)
  • You're doing great! Almost finished. It will all be worth it once you have your own name tag and all the goldfish you can eat (crackers that is).

  • Parent / Guardian Commitment

  • I understand that my child has committed to serve. So that I can help make this a fantastic volunteer experience for him or her, I commit to:

    • Assisting my child in getting to church when he or she needs to be there.
    • Helping my child sign up to serve.
    • Encouraging my child's spiritual growth by making sure that he or she is also attending a Student Ministry service in addition to serving.

  • Sponsor Info

  • In order to serve, a sponsor from the same team will need to be found. This person will need to be an adult (18 or older) and not a family member. They will be responsible while the teen is serving to ensure they are following the rules including the child abuse prevention policy. If you know who that person will be, enter their info here. If not, we'll help you find someone.
