Dear college faculty:
As the Dow Jones News Fund plans for summer 2021, we need your help to promote our internships in business reporting, digital media, data journalism and multiplatform editing. Professors and career services professionals like you have been integral as test monitors for the exams associated with each program. Due to the disruption caused by the coronavirus, we will be distributing the test differently this year.
Professors will not receive printed tests or online links; instead students will apply online then receive an email message with the link to a single, timed, online test. The application deadline is November 9. We expect to begin selecting and matching interns with employers in mid-December.
To help promote our programs, we will attend fall media conventions such as ACP/CMA, ONA and IRE, campus job fairs and campus career days.
We hope you can help spread the word to your students.
We will send you digital promotional materials and print materials on demand. We would love to virtually visit your classes and student newsrooms. We’ll also push out the word through our Twitter, Facebook and Instagram accounts.
Can we count on your help to promote our programs? Let us know by using this form to request print materials and to suggest a virtual visit to your school.
